Jawbreaker unfolds as a two-part choreography that continues an investigation of movement as an expression of patriotism and exhaustion. Part 1 features a high-energy sequence performed in jeans and T-shirts before pausing for a live costume change, during which an aluminum lamp post is pulled onto the stage. In Part 2, pairs of dancers perform on the lamp post. Throughout the work, the performers move within an environment covered in translucent aqua plastic, conceived by CH & Herrero.
